Job Description

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Proposal Development Specialist who combines strong proposal/bid management skills with working knowledge across Clinical Technology, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Supply Chain. This role owns the end-to-end development of proposals and RFP/RFI responses for life sciences clients — partnering with subject matter experts to turn technical capabilities into clear, compelling, and compliant proposal content. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in life sciences proposal development and brings the versatility to represent multiple technical domains accurately in client-facing materials.

Must have requirements:

  • Prior hands-on working experience in proposal development (RFP/RFI response, bid/proposal management) — not just exposure or peripheral involvement.
  • Solid understanding of technologies and the latest technical specifications within the life sciences field, spanning Clinical Technology, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Supply Chain.
  • Strong presentation skills, including the ability to independently build polished, client-ready PowerPoint decks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proposal Development & Management
    • Lead end-to-end proposal development — RFP/RFI analysis, solutioning inputs, content development, review cycles, and final submission — within tight, client-driven deadlines.
    • Partner with subject matter experts across Clinical Technology, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Supply Chain to translate technical capabilities into clear, client-ready proposal narratives.
    • Own proposal timelines and version control across multiple contributors, ensuring every submission is complete, compliant, and on time.
    • Build and maintain a reusable content library — case studies, capability statements, resumes, past performance summaries — to accelerate future life sciences pursuits.
  • Life Sciences Domain Focus
    • Develop proposals and pitch materials tailored to pharmaceutical, biotech, and life sciences sponsor/CRO opportunities.
    • Stay current on life sciences industry trends, regulatory considerations, and the competitive landscape to sharpen proposal positioning.
    • Work with sales/BD leads to shape win themes and value propositions specific to life sciences accounts.
  • Cross-Domain Technical Fluency
    • Build working knowledge of Clinical Technology (EDC, IRT, ePRO, eCOA), Data Engineering & Data Science (ETL, analytics, AI/ML), and Supply Chain solutions to represent offerings accurately in proposals.
    • Coordinate with technical and delivery teams to gather accurate scope, staffing, and delivery-approach details for each pursuit.
  • Stakeholder & Campus Engagement
    • Support engagement with Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineering/management institutes for talent sourcing, employer branding, or academic collaboration tied to business development initiatives.
    • Represent the organization in campus interactions and coordinate with HR/Talent Acquisition on related activities.
  • Process & Quality
    • Ensure every proposal meets formatting, compliance, and brand standards before submission.
    • Drive continuous improvement of proposal templates, playbooks, and processes.
    • Track win/loss metrics and feed lessons learned back into future proposals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute (engineering, life sciences, business, or a related field).
  • 4+ years of overall professional experience, including at least 2 years specifically in proposal development or bid management.
  • Demonstrated experience developing proposals for life sciences (pharma, biotech, or CRO) clients.
  • Working knowledge across two or more of: Clinical Technology (EDC/IRT/ePRO/eCOA), Data Engineering, Data Science, and Supply Chain.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate technical content for varied audiences.
  • Excellent project management skills; able to manage multiple concurrent proposals under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace and familiarity with proposal management or collaboration tools.

What Success Looks Like :

  • High-quality, compliant proposals submitted on time, every time, with minimal last-minute rework.
