Job Purpose:
Lead NSA (Network and System Administrator) role is to lead and manage the network and system infrastructure, ensure their stability and security, collaborate with teams, adhere to compliance requirements, develop strategies, and maintain accurate documentation for effective network and system administration. Monitoring system performance, implementing security policies, and supervising a team of system administrators. Create and implement monitoring and reporting capabilities to maintain a smooth IT environment. A Lead NSA will contribute to cost-cutting initiatives, stay current on technical advancements, and define best practices and support procedures.
Experience: 6+ Years
Qualification: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related discipline is required.
Responsibilities:
• Assist as a technical specialist in system management for complex operating systems.
• Assist the team in resolving complicated technical issues. • Keep up with the newest technical trends and competitive updates. • Install and configure new software, hardware, server networks, devices, and firewalls. • Install needed updates, patches, and service packs on servers. • Facilitate system hardware maintenance in conjunction internal System Administrators/Jr.System Administrators, contracted partners, and vendors. • Monitor system performance, IT system operations, and storage utilization. • Implement monitoring, configuration management, and reporting functions to provide a hands-off environment. • Address any potential concerns to guarantee that services are always available. • Oversee a staff of system administrators. • Provide mentoring, direction, and regular check-ins to measure their performance. • Encourage a collaborative and high-performance team culture. • Keep track of inventory and asset configuration documentation. • Track hardware and software assets to ensure their accuracy and availability. • Work with procurement teams to handle hardware and software acquisitions. • Conduct predictive analysis to anticipate future system demands and performance enhancements. • Create reports that compare planned and actual results for management evaluation. • Present reports and insights to management to help in decision-making. • Define and document the best practices for system administration. • Create support procedures and standards for troubleshooting and issue resolution. • Collaborate with the team to ensure adherence to established best practices. • Deploy and manage production environments for the company and its customers. • Ensure the availability and dependability of hardware and networking systems. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build effective and scalable solutions. • Plan and carry out cost-cutting measures in network and system administration. • Participate in budgeting procedures by contributing insights and recommendations. • Go above and beyond allocated tasks to contribute to the overall success of the team and organization. • Concentrate on issue solving rather than delivering quick fixes. • Proactively manage issues and escalate them as needed.Ideal Candidate:
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related discipline is required.
• Proven experience in network and system administration with minimum 6+ years of experience, ideally in a complex setting and large setting • Technical expertise in operating systems, software, hardware, and network infrastructure is required. • Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting servers on Windows, Linux, and Mac platforms. • Familiarity with Jira administration, including configuration and maintenance. MS-Windows Server Deployment and Administration • Experience with server configurations such as LAMP, WAMP, IIS, and restoration techniques. • Expertise in administrating, supporting, and upgrading SharePoint-based portal solutions. Knowledge of Project Server administration and Redmine administration. • Deployment and administration experience with MS-Windows Server versions such as 2003, 2008, 2012, as well as Windows XP and Windows NT 4.0. • Proficiency in WSUS Server administration • Hands-on experience with different hardware platforms including IBM, HP, and DELL • Deployment and administration expertise in Mac OS, CentOS, Red Hat, Ubuntu, VMWare ESXi, and Hyper-V. Knowledge of virtual hosting and domain management practices • Supervisory and mentoring experience with a team of system administrators. • Comprehensive knowledge of security processes and best practices. • Expertise in monitoring and reporting techniques and technologies. • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking. • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.Why you should apply?
